Some Photographs

  1. I'm really liking these half frame images, the moments that you are capturing are the ones that most people would just not think about, the time that is forgotten. Something that I would like to see is how you are shooting, I want to see the whole frame, a diptych if I may. To see how you shoot and how the moments look sitting side by side. I enjoy the colors that you are picking up with this film and the ways that you are shooting in the light add warmth to your images which I know is something you long for.

  2. uffle-lady, your way with light and color is an inspiration. seriously. and your ability to capture these quiet moments when people have paused is incredible. sneaky like a fox, you are. i'm hard-pressed to identify a favorite. maybe the hand pointing towards the plants. but that could just be from my childhood spent working in dad's greenhouse. the first one, i don't get. the backs of head thing...the colors are great, but the image, itself is a little confusing to me. i love the image through multiple car windows. very interesting idea.

i hope you're shooting more and will share more soon! really loving this stuff!

  3. Woah that white hair is intense. Theres this guy at my school Trevor who just showed in the fifth year exhibition and he has photos similar to yours (random everyday moments sometimes with figures sometimes just light) but he usually takes pictures of friends and family. I feel like photographers like him and you have to defend the "conceptual" side of the artwork a lot more, but I also feel like these kinds of pictures are what photography is all about.. short moments that you can try to capture so you can remember them. Kind of like an exploration in lieu of throw away cameras but with a really nice camera and print.

The only one I'm not really feelin as much is the fifth. And I think the color is beautiful in the second one, it feels like a movie still.
